SUNNYVALE, Calif., Mar 15, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) --Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq:JNPR) today announced that one ofChina's newest telecommunications service providers, ZhejiangCommunication, has deployed E-series and M-series routing platforms inits new IP backbone and access networks. The platforms will enable thecompany to offer high-quality, value-added broadband services in sevencities across the Zhejiang province.
Zhejiang Communication, a subsidiary of national carrier ChinaNetcom, selected the E- and M-series to become more competitive bybuilding a strong portfolio of value-added services. The Quality ofService-based applications enabled by Juniper Networks platforms areparticularly important to the company's ongoing success.
Zhejiang Communication will also offer Layer 2 and Layer 3 MPLSVPN services through the M-series platforms.
