Yes, and no. They ran on a platform of removing the troops from Iraq. The tragedy happened before the election, and the public voted, in essence, to recall the troops. I don't think they should change the platform that got them elected. That would certainly piss off the electorate.

My understanding is that Aznar was projected to win easily before the bombing. The vote seems like an emotional response to the bombings that may or may not be in the long term best interest of Spain, and probably is not in the best interest of the fight against terror...that said, the fundamental problem remains, which is that bush's policies serve to destabilize adn divide the world.
