HENDERSON, Nev.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 15, 2004--Emergency Filtration Products Inc. (EFP) (OTCBB: EMFP - News), an air filtration products manufacturer, today announced a collaboration with Itochu Techno Chemical Inc., a wholly owned Japanese subsidiary of Itochu Corp. (see below), involved in chemical and related businesses.
The companies have been engaged in a cooperative feasibility study surrounding the introduction of EFP's innovative air filtration products and technologies into Japan and other Asian countries. As part of this collaborative effort, the companies are pleased to announce the filing of an application on Feb. 27, 2004, with the Japanese Koseisho (the Ministry of Health and Welfare, similar to the U.S. Federal Drug Administration). Upon the approval by Koseisho, Itochu Techno Chemical will commence distribution of EFP's Vapor Isolation Valve (and other designated products) in Japan and other Asian countries, with possible expansion into global markets.

EFP has been collaborating with Itochu Techno Chemical for nearly a year, entered into a Memorandum of Understanding on Sept. 26, 2003, and is now in the final phase of concluding a long-term distribution agreement.
