Spain is a special case in that over 90% of its citizens opposed entering into the Iraq war. Normally when less than 10% of the citizenry is in favor of entering into a war, the powers that be do the sensible thing and stay out of the war. But nooooooooo, the prime minister completely disregarded the 90+% and threw in with us anyway. The M-11 attack simply reminded the voters that they didn't want to get involved in this to begin with. It didn't change anyone's mind about the war in Iraq, nobody in Spain supported it to begin with.
