so, you can see the file, but can't click it. does it have the excel symbol to the left. if so, is it as bright as the other excel symbols. can you right click on it to get properties? go to my computer/my documents/view/all and see what properties it has. if you want, i'm sure the brainpower here can get it to open, but we need more data. larry
