The former prime minister of Spain is to blame, not the Spanish people. He went into Iraq knowing that over 90% of the Spanish people disapproved of his action.

A leader should never go to war with less than 10% support, he was a jackass to do it.

The consequences of going to war with support of less than 10% of the people is that the minute something goes wrong, there is insurmountable pressure to get out.
