Re: "Can you offer a synopsis?" Of book "An End to Evil"

To fight terrorism:
Three main points:

#1: You can not win terrorism of terrorism at home, but we can lose it at home. So we need to make it harder for terrorists to succeed. (One example - create a National ID system with a nationwide data base that makes it harder for terrorists to hide. Another idea - do not let foreign radical Islamic preachers into the country to preach hate against us.)

#2: You can not appease or run away from terrorists or terror sponsoring states. You have to confront them head on. They give a variety of ways to deal with different terrorist organizations and states (eg. North Korea, Iran and Saudi Arabia).

#3: We have to win the war of ideas. They discuss ways to try to eliminate support for Islamic terrorist factories that exist in many areas. They tell ways of discrediting the radical Islamic ideas in the Muslim world.

Also they point out the good aspects and bad aspects of how Bush and Clinton have dealt with or ignored terrorism. Example - in approaching the Moslem community right after 9-11 Bush made errors in seeming to appease Moslems in this country. Considering the radical Islamic mind the way it was done gave them a victory.
