He performs best when he is under attack,

And then he trashes those who he fought with. Accusing them of widespread atrocities, cutting off ears, breaking limbs, and much, much more. Not a great way for a Commander in Chief to act.

I hadn't been aware how virulent his attacks on US servicemen had been until I heard the tape of his testimony before Congress the other day. It was, in a word, appalling. In another word, disgusting. In a third, downright false.
