Yep, wstera...That's about right! To hear you tell it, you'd think that folks like you have
to sacrifice, work long hours, take on significant risk,
deal with multiple layers of federal, state & local
bureaucracies & frequently earn a meager existence in the
hopes your own business will eventually allow you to make
a modest income or, heaven forbid, a comfortable one.
And seriously, if the US had a law that in order to run for local, State or National office, that every candidate had to have run a small business for a minimum of 5 years, the entire US would be much better off!
All of them would certainly have an idea of what it takes to earn enough to run the business, and to earn enough to support their family, and of course, pay their taxes. |
