Re Leaders lead.. That's what they are paid to do. And sometimes they must make decisions that are not popular Going to a war with the support by less than 20% of the people, lying about the reasons, another lying about the terrorists of the Madrid bombing: that's not "unpopular". It's politically insane and it's political fantasy land. And in a working democracy with working public information channels, it's clear what's going to happen under such circumstances. Spain was #1.
