Dense, or hitting too close to home?

So far, the chief European reactions seems to be, if there are no attacks, that proves that Bush & Blair made up the War on Terror; conversely, if there are attacks, that proves that Bush & Blair brought it on themselves and we should stay far away from them.

The Germans may think that if they keep very still and small, proclaim their anti-Americanism and keep the police watching all those Wahabbi-funded mosques, they can keep a lid on this.

But I have a news flash, the lid is off. It was not the Americans who declared this war. It is not the Americans who are your enemies. It is the Islamists. They have declared this war and are setting its boundaries. You may declare that Iraq has nothing to do with the War on Terro, but al Qaeda is clearly of a different opinion.

I think that Western civilization is worth fighting for. Do you? Does Germany?
