"Yes, it was a meeting. Dare I say DUH! That means Paul "met Jesus" which you said he had not"

Let us not be childish, please. As you know, the focus of our discussion has been the historicity of Jesus, and whether we can reasonably make the case that he actually lived as a GodMan (working miracles and such). We were not discussing whether Paul had seen lights or heard voices. We know the claim has been made. We were disputing whether Paul had direct knowledge of Jesus before His crucifixion, when he was alleged by later writers to have worked miracles and exhibited other supernatural qualities.

You have agreed that the account of the light from "heaven" was the first time Paul had "met" Jesus.

Therefore, we agree that he had no direct knowledge of the Jesus referred to in the later gospels as a miracle worker and such. If you insist on claiming that he at least met God (as Jesus) disguised as a Light, I find no need to dispute that point with you, as it does not inform the discussion we were having.

The FIRST time Paul met Jesus was years AFTER Jesus had been dead. Thus Paul witnessed NONE of the "events" referred to in the Gospels. If you wish to say he witnessed a miracle (of God) by seeing a light from "heaven" and by hearing a voice--please be my guest. But Paul never ever ever met Jesus the man or witnessed the shenanigans referred to by later writers. The man was long dead when Paul met the light from heaven.
