On January 29, 2004, when asked a question, Kerry stated that the Bush administration had exaggerated the threat of terrorism in a profound way. He then when on to list some WMD intelligence failures (CIA, UN, France, etc.) which had nothing to with the question he was asked (quite typical).

It seems that the Bush administration was not exaggerating the threat at all.

You demolibs keep saying that we went into Iraq unilaterally, this of course is a flat out lie. It is a fact that the majority of the security council was in favor of war against Iraq. It was only the (threatened) veto of France, that prevented a UN resolution. Then of course there is the 30 some nations that provided material support in a number of ways.

And if we went in "unilaterally," why is Spain so important then?

Your argument contradicts itself. If Spain is so inconsequential as to justify the use of the term "unilateral", then the election results you site are meaningless.

And just because, the voters of Spain have let Al Qaeda influence their elections and as a result handed terrorists a victory, it does not mean Americans will do the same. That assumption of yours is on very shaky ground - equating europeans with Americans.
