JK is not for UN debates on self defense. If someone hits us he'll hit back immediately. Iraq was not self defense and Iraq never attacked us, so you cannot use than analogy.
See this is the bushies big deception that Iraq was in retaliation for 9-11. It had nothing to do with 9-11 unless you think all Arabs are the same. it would have made more sense to invade Saudi Arabia.

However, all wars take time to prepare. Unless it's a surgical strike, it takes months to send troops overseas and everything else. So in the meantime you build a coalition. Bush fumbled the ball on coalition-building. His father was a much better prsident on foreign affairs and military matters.
