I've got a land grant in my ancestry as well. From King George, no less. Fat lot of good it does me!

My wife's family comes from Ohio where most of the settlers were Revolutionary War soldiers with land grants. Your story is the first one I've heard about Hessians getting grants. You should write it up. Really.
