It was the Texas companies, Bush-cheney, the whole gang. They manipulated the markets and created the phony energy crisis during the election cycle. It was a brilliant stealth ripoff of mammoth proportions, folloed by a very slick cover up. 9-11 helped them cover it up too, then the Iraq War as well and taking back the Senate so an investigation could never get underway. Cheney still hides his energy papers despite court orders to hand them over. Gilespie covered up for the energy thieves with Enron and the GOP's cash and got promoted to head of the RNC for it. Quite a scam. Not a single democrat involved. Enron's prior contributions to Dems like Lieberman are irrelevant to the energy crisis scam.
