Jochen: What was your source for the number of US refugees accepted in 2002?

I have called Senators offices to try to determine the actual numbers, and find that all numbers are actually signed by Executive Order for each event.

The Senators office staff said they didn't have those numbers and didn't know how any of us could find them (this was a few years ago about 1998 or so).

They did tell me that there were about 500,000 LEGAL immigrants that were to come in per year (except for the 1996 and 2000 election years that Clinton-Gore wanted to extend that number to 1,000,000+ per year), and then both offices I called said that they estimated there were about 5-8 times the number of refugees versus the legal immigrants.....
