Tom, MVS put that amorphous Si prototype in for NSTDA in Bangkok in 2001... as I recheck my links, sorry for the error. Bangkok Solar acquired amorphous Si manuf equipment from Dunasolar's sell-off, not from MVS, in 2002.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries committed to amorphous Si in 2001 and on its' website currently says:
"Recognizing the advantages of the a-Si type from the development stage, we are launching an advanced thin film product, likely to become the mainstream in the solar business in the future." Put them on your watchlist.

Meanwhile China is planning to reduce their reliance on coal
via renewables, definitely via BIPV.

Go West (all the way to the East) young man.
