The table I gave was for refugees. Thank you. I was following that thread and recall KLP had written about immigrants and I was thinking that. The 70,000 refugeee figure is skewed low too as it does not include family reunification cases. Refugees admitted to the US have a 24 month window to apply for family reunification...that is to bring their entire family here (within specific parameters). They get accelerated processing to accomplish that. Perhaps the most significant number, the one that underscores the real harm being done, is that over 4 million folks, world-wide, become refugees every year.
