I'm not sure I agree. A terrorist attack would probably not affect the election here in the US. People have already made up their minds, and they won't change much.

The Spanish people appeared to change their minds on the election, but the reason seems to be that their administration lied to them about who the perpetrators of the terrorist act were. Trying to pin the blame on ETA. Then came the finding that actually it was Al Qaeda. The reason the incumbents failed, was not the terrorist act but the lying about it. The people said we want a change because we were not told the truth.

I get concerned when I read posts by you and others because you follow a man that expanded a war on Al Qaeda to a war on Iraq. He did so by not being truthful.

The big picture is that we need to hear the truth. There is no one on this thread that does not see the threat of terror. But we do disagree on the best way to combat terror. Had Bush continued to focus on bin Laden and Al Qaeda he would have had my support. But all these lies and a change in the focus from Al Qaeda to Iraq makes me want regime change here in the US.
