There are some who think it doesn't matter that Bush speaks an abreviated language, and even other who delite in his euphamisms and phonetic inventions. I think there are some who really think that a Forest Gump simplicity will lead to good fortune as it did for the fictional character. The lack of language is just he outer sign of something more serious. It indicates that there are important concepts that Bush cannot distinguish between. He does not know the difference between a terrorist and a despot, or a war and a criminal investigation, and lumps everyone with policy differnces as evil-doers no matter the degree of the difference. Language is more than a means of communication. It is also a method of organizing thoughts and facts. An illiterate decision maker is little better than a magic-8-ball. TP
