Not openly talking about your motivations is not dishonest. Lying about them would be but I've never seen anyone even claim that Bush said he joined the National Guard so he could fight for his country. Kerry apparently directly lied about some things that happened in Vietnam, and did at least support people who gave false testimony about Vietnam. Tim
