AS, Re: Most counter-terrorism is high-level law enforcement and intelligence, along with surgical special ops "wet" work and diplomacy. That sounds remarkably like the solution that the Fascists have come up with in every decade since 1920. Why not start to think about more sensible solutions. Like first of all shutting down some of the 725 admitted military bases that the U.S. maintains in 130 nations, completely pissing off most of the planet while we attempt our economic imperialism. How about we try to make friends and allies around the world instead of try to become the frightened and paranoid Goliath who is forever screwing up because of arrogance, ignorance and clumsiness? How about we give up trying to be the world's policeman and missionary and start to deal with the unmitigated mess that the the "Cons" have created here in our own country?
