Drillers fake deafness so they do not have to stop the drill for the geologist in order to talk to him. Most of them are only half deaf. That is they are only half deaf in hearing, and the other half in understanding. They are like that so they don't have to slow the drill down in order to hit targets.

Have you ever seen an old miner where if you ask him where something he is, he will point with his forehead, as if he were shining a light on it, and if you are doing something wrong he will shake his head violently at you, even if behind you,. as if you could see the light shaking back and forth on the wall?

Now Sudbury is shattered like a windshield in ever expanding circular fractures all the way to Timmins. Should make for an interesting promotion. How many Sublayers did they say there were. I once head the idea you could maybe explore for nickel and Pt from Sudbury through the Grenville all the way to Virgin Stalls and North Bay-Temagami. Never had the money to try. Not many map showings in there except for gold in the cracks in the sediments. The along came River Valley of PFN's. That is a good 25 miles into the Grenville. Maybe you can go futher. That big Niobium deposit in North Bay, (30 million tons) is also rich in Uranium, and could be an IOCG type of deposit, like Eldorado, Ukrainian City is. At Eldorado they threw away all the silver and copper in the deposit into the tails.
