Republicans like Shelby of Alabama agreed with all of those intelligence cuts. JK also voted for the largest military budgets in the history of the planet. This is all just a damage control offensive by awolbush.com trying to turn himself from chickenhawk into eagle. It won't work in the end and defense is not even in the top five issues people will vote on in the end. But if GW wants to make defense the big issue, then bring it on. JK was a war hero, GW a draft-dodger. Big difference in the mettle of these two men.
