I have taken the position that the war in Iraq was worth it, whether weapons of mass destruction are found or not, as a war liberating the Iraqi people. I find it ridiculous to allow Saddam to wrap himself in the cloke of sovereignty, which belongs to the people of Iraq, and which they could not effectively exercise as long as his boot was on their neck. I consider it an intervention restoring sovereignty to the Iraqi people. I may be a fool in various ways, but the idea that this represents the idealization of Tribalism is so inane, I will probably have to disengage from the person who suggested it, lest I insult him, until such time as I can recover my equipoise.......
