I mostly agree with you. On this issue, absolutely I do not. You buy into the "if rape is inevitable, lie back and enjoy it" theory. The US govt has immigrant quotas for good reason, to prevent a disparity. Shortly the population of CA will have a hispanic minority majority. These folks get breaks simply for being hispanic. Why? I don't know. You say white people won't garden, or lay roofing or do any manual labor. NOT even. Here in Oregon we're still some years away from being overwhelmed by Mexicans. White people do landscaping, put up roofs, do housework here, and they're happy for these jobs which they'll be aced out of when Mexicans arrive in droves. It's still way, way cheaper to live here than CA despite the drawback of having white people do manual labor.
I have still not gotten over a Cesar Chavez documentary. Old films showed poor white people slaving in the fields along with Mexican illegals. When Chavez sought better wages, he completely ignored those folks. His agenda became "la raza", meaning Mexicans only. What happened to the other field workers - did they move up some corporate ladder? Hardly, they probably just went on welfare or died. Mr. Humanitarian should have championed all down-trodden and oppressed,todos los pobres - not just HIS people.
Since there is a dearth of jobs in this country, hiring the thousands of unemployed to stand guard at the borders will keep out those who would opportune themselves - with the help of their buddies already here - of every single thing we legal taxpaying citizens have to offer. We cannot simply say there is nothing we can do, so let's give up and give illegals whatever they can take.
As for glasses, a dollar buys a pair at the Dollar Store.
I just don't buy the bunk that Mexicans do work whites won't. They've taken work whites used to have. And they're(Mexicans) not stupid. They see opportunities we miss. If teachers would get off their lazy asses and teach kids something, if government would get out of the schools, maybe Americans would stop buying the propaganda being dished out about what they can and can't do and how since illegals are here anyway, well, let's hand them everything on a silver platter. NO. We don't have to eliminate illegals' jobs. We have to keep illegals out so unemployed citizens can have the op to do "those jobs". |
