Nobody is arguing that the Spanish election was improper, unfair, or in any other way a violation of law. Nobody is arguing that the Socialists were not elected via a proper election. But that's beside the point.

As subsequent events have clarified, the Spanish people elected the Socialists because the Socialists promised to withdraw Spanish troops from Iraq, in order to persuade the terrorists not to bomb them anymore.

I have no idea whether it will work in Spain. Maybe so, Al Qaeda is now threatening Poland, Japan, Italy and Ukraine for supporting us in Iraq, and France for forcing Muslim girls to remove their headscarves.

You are originally from a country that deals with Muslim fundamentalist terrorism on a regular basis. Do you think giving them what they want is the best policy? Where does it end? If you give them Kashmir, will that be enough?

If the Russians give them Chechnya, will that be enough?
