Oh, it's certainly more than approval/disapproval.
In the 20th century, the American people, and the American military, were called upon to rescue and defend the peoples of other nations, and did so.
WWI, WWII, the Korean War, the war in Vietnam, Grenada, Kosovo, and more.
I would liken us to firemen, who look at burning houses which are constructed of tinder, and marvel amongst themselves that anybody would be so foolish. Or policemen, who look at disfunctional situations, and marvel amongst themselves that anybody in those situations would need a policeman.
I could extend the analogy further, but to what avail?
Spain is a member of NATO, and is thus our ally. Is it possible to be an outsider to a fellow NATO member? |
