Pretty good article by Freidman this time. At least he is sticking with a consistent theme expressed before. The issue of "do we have enough troops" has always been a difficult one to judge. Would more troops beget more resentment by the Iraqi people and more American body bags? Tough call... In regard to France, Germany and Spain sending in 5K troops to support a far greater U.N. involvement. Not a chance, instead of criticizing Bush he should be criticizing those sell-out countries who decided long ago Saddam and oil money were better than fighting terrorists in this age. I wonder if the new socialist leader of Spain was on the Hussien oil take a few years ago? Wouldn't surprise me a bit. We are seeing more and more the gap between socialism and totalitarianism is closer than many believe.
