| Oh, I was aware that Bush had, subsequent to his campaign, seen the light and that light was nation building. I just thought that the expression, drain the swamp, meant to wipe out terrorist lairs wherever they were and their support systems, as opposed to capturing and prosecuting individual terrorists. And that the expression, nation building, meant creating democracies, capitalism, constitutions, all that good stuff. I understood that Bush was into both, but I thought there was a "both," that is, that they were two different but related (sequentially) concepts with two different labels. |
