Stop insulting me...I never ever said I was a Democrat. There are numerous posts at various forums where I characterized myself as a long-time moderate Repub with Dem roots.
Why the switch? A great historical figure explained it very succinctly, when he said:

"If a person is NOT a liberal in their youth, they have no heart. If a person is STILL a liberal after 40yrs old....they have no head".

The Iraq/War on Terror situation demonstrates the wisdom of those words by Winston Churchill. Liberals are always looking for the easy way out of difficult situations....Conservatives learned early in life that there are no easy ways with bullies. Hit them hard without hesitation and you make the world a safer place for everyone. Take 2 stances on every issue a la John Kerry & you invite more Sept 11 attacks on the homeland.

It's frustrating that domestic agenda must be swept under the national rug in deference to a more crucial issue, War on Terror, but that's the reality of Election 2004.
