By the way, South Korea has mandatory military service, if you didn't already know. It should be obvious why. That makes the sending of troops to Iraq even worse, since none of the troops volunteered to be sent to a foreign country. Why it took this long for Korea to "balk" is beyond me, and it's made even more unfortunate with the timing of the Madrid bombings and Zapatero's subsequent election. SK was looking for an excuse and it found it with Madrid. This has never been the coalition of the willing except with the UK and Spain. Powell did a lot of arm twisting coupled with offers of free money. The upshot..............the US looks stupid. ted
