The question is not whether there were any other people with the name Jesus. The question is, whether or not there is any reason to believe that Jesus of Nazareth, actually lived in Israel at the time that the biblical records claim. The claim that Craig put forward is really very modest;

"Even the most critical historian can confidently assert that a Jew named Jesus worked as a teacher and wonder-worker in Palestine during the reign of Tiberius, was executed by crucifixion under the prefect Pontius Pilate and continued to have followers after his death."(Craig)
