I got hooked on AI at the start. The only other reality show I ever watched was the first couple of seasons of Survivor. These kids are great. Awkward and vulnerable with big voices and big dreams and they leave their guts on the stage every night. Somehow it makes me remember what it's like to be young and full of wonder. And hungry.

I zeroed in on Kelly early and Clay at the very first audition so I've had a good run. This year the competition seems tougher. Or maybe I'm beginning to tire of it.
