So, if there's no major upsets from here on out, in theory anyway, the $1M might be won this year by someone.

I think I detect a flaw in your argument. By my definition, Michigan State and Florida are major upsets. Everyone with a perfect score has already picked major upsets and are likly to pick additional upsets. If from now on, all the top seeds win they will lose. If there are some upsets in the next round then these perfect scorers might have a chance.
