During war, the DOD always go hog wild with spending. During WWII that was fine because everyone was joining in, but the Halliburtons and Bectels of the world are largely just waiting the chance to make huge profits off war. Bush-Cheney delivered. Halliburtoin and Bectel are amongst the real winners in Iraq. Tha taxpayers and soldiers are not so fortunate.
