Stew, From what I've gathered, many/some (actual numbers unavailable) viewers found this particular methodology degrading to the content and/or the viewing experience. I understand the same. There are also those who go to the extreme as I do :) with the thought that all advertising degrades the viewing experience. Tinker answered your question about the potential money to be derived from off-guide advertising. I have questions regarding all agreements with the carriers concerning advertisements that do not appear on the electronic guide but are accessed by using the guide. Do such advertisements generate revenue for Gemstar?
