The article I just posted fails to mention that DVDRs are also integrating HD time-shifting via TV Guide On Screen. Between now and the end of the year there will be at least 15 licensed models introduced by major CEMs including several blu-ray DVDRs. Saw a few combo units with DVDR, VCR and several flash memory slots ... talk about recording paradise. Increased viewer fragmentation along with bypassing technologies compound to create a critical problem for the industry. IPG interface(s) and its advertising platform(s) stand to profit from these changes. Signs of these changes are already surfacing. mediapost.com
