Ross, thanks for the nice comments about the newsletter. I just had to comment on the above, as CGNX was a contrarian pick, but it's just that it was what I call a "contrarian growth" idea as opposed to a "contrarian value" idea. WNDR and XYLN are also "contrarian growth" ideas. "Contrarian value" ideas used to work really well for me, but in this momentum and growth driven market, it seems that many of the value managers have disappeared. Therefore, I have been forced to consider more "contrarian growth" ideas over value ideas.
Bill, I understand your concern about the contrarian focus of the newsletter. But that's just the way I am -- I try to match my personality with a trading style. I like to buy things cheap; I like to go against the crowd; I like to look at the dogs; I like to buy when there's "blood in the streets." I'm not saying this trading style is better than any other; in fact, it has been painful in this type of market. I'd have been much better off in this market being a momentum player than a contrarian. If that's what's keeping you from subscribing to the newsletter, then I say just ignore the contrarian stock ideas or market commentary and just focus on the GET tips. I have designed the newsletter to be somewhat educational in nature; I don't try to duplicate the GET manual, videos or seminars, but try to enhance them by trying to get the reader to look at these tools in a slightly different way or to look at the tools in more depth.
Maybe some of the subscribers of my newsletter can comment on the value of the GET tips alone. Are the GET tips alone worth subscribing to the newsletter? Especially when GET users receive a 25% discount on the subscription rate?
My apologies in advance to anyone who feels that this posting is too marketing oriented. In return as an expression of good faith, I will e-mail upon request a special excerpt on a new way to use the MOB (MOB Break Target) that Ross mentioned from the latest edition at no cost, even to those who have requested a sample edition within the past year. (You must be able to receive attached files and be willing to open an EXE file; the EXE file will include an embedded MiniViewer.)
Best Regards,
