Thanks for the response. I, also, tried a Ping and Tracert on this web site, both with and without the D-Link router attached. Nothing.

Most web sites do the same things as we do when we use a firewall, such as Zone Alarm or a router. We make ourselves invisible to avoid those jerks who want to sneak in through open ports. I used to get Pings several times an hour logged in with Zone Alarm. Now, with a router, no Pings. It is interesting, however, to look at the router log now and then to see what kind of other stuff the router is blocking.

My understanding of the redirect you mentioned is that a lot of web sites have had to do this to avoid DOS (denial of service) attacks.

Tell me more about the WWW.DNSSTUFF.COM you use.
