The answer is they simply don't care what they say. Diplomacy and common sense mean nothing to these people. "Old Europe", now "appeasers" are names which they use to impugn countries that don't cave. Rush Limbaugh, who belongs in prison, then rams this in the ears of his unthinking listeners, who parrot this non-stop.
