My stainless fabricator gave me a break Friday on a small panel for a dishwasher--only 45% more than the one I bought recently. That was his exact cost increase which he passed through to me with a warning to avoid quoting anything involving steel fabrication until ready for immediate production or the pricing would be wrong! The increases have already gotten fast and furious for stainless appliances. Other building materials continue to ratchet upward very fast. Plywood hasn't come back to earth yet after zooming when close to a million sheets went to Iraq. All of them are trucked which is putting a big fuel surcharge on top of the other increases. I am going to get out my Whip Inflation Now button soon.
