There is a limit to just how far something can be "passed on". I'm lucky that I at a point where I can "just say no". We will be exploring the costs of doing stick and stucco now or block construction. I have heard that CalTrans has canceled several road projects as well.

This cost volatility coupled with Ca's already high real estate costs will slam the door shut on quite a bit of any new industrial construction. "IMO" (Maybe a buying opp on existing?)

Next week I'll be attending a conference for a buying org I'm associated with in my industry where we expect to be bootstrapped on exactly what the impact will be on equiptment and fixture prices going forward. I'm told it's not going to be pretty.
