McCain just defended JK on defense while the Bushies were running millions in dishonest attack ads on JK. You don't do that just because the guy is a friend, you do that because you want to distance youself from the Bushies and keep your options open. Maybe McCain just sees himself as a power broker who can kep his party more honest. Or maybe it's something else. I know one thing, if the Bushie attack machine and 100 million in TV propaganda work and JK finds himself in trouble, he will look for the VP who can win it all for him. There may be only one VP who can do that, McCain.
