I agree about the correction, but my sense is that ORCL is taking a bigger hit than the market as a whole, and this despite not having run up much in the previous weeks. It looks to me as though the PSFT bid is dead (actually, I can't even imagine how it could go forward), but I was concerned that the price was too high, so I don't regret this. At $19 it seemed that it could be a good thing, but...

One thing that is hilarious to me about this situation is the idea that ORCL would desupport PSFT products. You only have to look at the DEC RDB product that Oracle bought years ago -- DEC has long since ceased to exist, but RDB is still supported. PSFT products have a much better chance of being desupported now than they did in the event of an ORCL buyout.
