Hi vinod,

Small gaps at the open in an otherwise full chart are meaningful for very short periods. Very useful for day trading but after a week or so can be pretty much ignored. Even big holes in the chart don't mean much after long periods of time.

It's a little early to tell but so far today it looks like it's turning up again. This could be good or bad. There are two humps that could easily turn into a head and shoulders pattern if it doesn't go above 9 3/8 on this pass. In my opinion earnings will shape the pattern and TA is almost useless right now.

If Schmidt can turn in -.15 or better with one time charges of around 120 million dollars. Next quarter should come close to +.20 even without any new products. I remember seeing something about Border Manager being offered for sale around the middle of next month. It also looks like they are working hard to get the word out before it's released. That should add some extra revenue in the second half of Q4.

I think there are a lot of people on the sidelines, waiting to see what will happen, that will jump in if earnings are within reason. My bet is on Schmidt but if he doesn't pull it off we're in trouble.

Regards,

Don
