Yes, why not? Did we prevent the automobile from being introduced because it would displace a bunch of horse and carriage drivers and the industry that supported the horse and carriage (e.g. blacksmiths)? Hell no. There's no reason why we couldn't implement Kyoto and create jobs in the U.S. at the same time. A recent study said a large investment in alternative energy would creates 10,000s of American jobs. What the hell does Bush care about jobs anyway? His rich friends are busy outsourcing our high tech jobs to India and the far East.
