Thank you for the interesting information on insider sales. I sold my
gems at $20.25 a couple of weeks ago and am looking for a re-entry point.
Anyone have any ideas?

First call estimates for FY 1997 is $0.95 and $1.15 for 1998. This is
earnings increase of 21%. Based on this, gems is fully valued
(looking ahead 12 months) at about 21 x $1.15 or about $24.00/share. However, we all saw gems go down to about $9.00/share where the PE was about 9. I like to try and buy stocks where the PE is about half next year's earnings growth rate. This would make gems a good value at $12.00/share, but I must say I
am tempted at todays level of $17.00. In the current market however, this may be risky. I still remember buying gems at $23.50 last Dec. and watching it go down really fast to $14.00 and then to $9.00. I averaged down to price of about $15.00, but the experience was one I would prefer not to repeat.

Happy trading
