Are you saying there was no room in the budget to save any money? Do we need to go to mars right now? Do we need to be deploying a missile defense system even before it works? The deficit will be closer to 800 billion this year than it will be to the 400 and some billion they want you to believe. This can't go on forever. The soldiers would have gotten the money they needed no matter how the vote turned out but heaven forbid we cut any pork out of the overinflated budget.
